You Don’t Have to Navigate these Uncharted Times On Your Own
In times of upheaval, it's easy for leaders to feel overwhelmed and blown off course. At Jones-Taylor Strategies, we specialize in helping leaders like you regain focus and reconnect to your purpose. We apply adaptive leadership strategies to develop more resilient leaders and organizations so you can get back to what matters most: having enduring impact.
Grounded in Purpose. Designed for Impact.
Founded by Dr. Myra Jones-Taylor, we support nonprofit executives, mission-driven teams, and philanthropic leaders during critical moments: leadership transitions, strategic inflection points, funding uncertainty, internal instability, and sociopolitical change.
Far too often, well-intended leaders like you apply technical solutions to adaptive challenges. Doing so whittles away at your effectiveness, further erodes trust among staff and stakeholders, and weakens your organization’s impact.
Our work is rooted in adaptive leadership, a framework designed for solving complex, high-stakes challenges that don’t have easy answers. We help you align leadership, culture, and communication to:
Strengthen internal cohesion and collaboration,
(Re)Build funder and stakeholder confidence, and
Deliver long-term impact

About Myra
Aligning people, policy, and strategy to deliver measurable impact defines Dr. Myra Jones-Taylor’s career. From envisioning and launching Connecticut’s first-ever early childhood cabinet-level agency as its founding commissioner to increasing the impact and elevating the visibility of national organizations like the Urban Institute and Zero to Three as a senior executive, Myra has led organizations through moments of profound transition and growth, all while delivering unprecedented results.
What sets her apart is not only her strategic vision, but her ability to unify diverse stakeholders around a shared purpose—and move them toward action. She has built coalitions across sectors, bridged institutional divides, designed and implemented new lines of work, and shaped policy that continues to positively impact children and families nationwide. Myra has managed to do all this in some of the most challenging political — both little p and big P — contexts. She has a gift and long track record of bringing people who are apathetic or outright oppositional to the table to work through differences and get things done for the people who matter most — their constituents, clients, and partners.
Trained as an anthropologist and ethnographer, Myra brings a systems-level understanding of leadership, culture, and change. She helps leaders and teams see what’s holding them back, shift the patterns that no longer serve them, and lead forward with clarity, conviction, and results. Her work is both deeply human and sharply strategic – grounded in purpose and designed for impact.
